Drawing Data Visualization with Kids (Screen-Free)
Starts July 22nd, Tues/Thurs 1-3pm for 4 weeks
Make this summer a memorable one by immersing your child in the colorful world of data through the power of drawing. Who it’s for
“Tali Explorers” are early elementary students who are in Kindergarten-2nd grade. We’ll focus on reinforcing basic problem-solving skills, hands-on activities, and educational games.
What they’ll learn
This is the perfect time for kids to start learning computational thinking skills (algorithms, logic, tinkering, and debugging) that will help them “think critically and creatively in collaborative environments, and develop a growth mindset by learning to embrace ambiguity and reframe challenges as opportunities, whether with or without technology” (source).
Research shows that kids at this age are able to grasp algebraic concepts (source), which also means they are able to think in terms of symbolic representation. Our Tali Explorers courses offer an introduction to these concepts through creative play that enhances their natural curiosity and desire to explore.
