Week 1 Class 2 - Your First Python Program
Develop a multi-function program that uses variables, strings, and user input, deep dive into functions, parameters, and return values. We’ll learn how to use ChatGPT to debug code, organize code into functions by creating a “personal info tracker,” and practice basic math operations by creating a temperature converter.

Week 2 Class 1 - Lists and Dictionaries
Learn how to create, modify, and access data in Python data structures (lists and dictionaries). We’ll review how platforms like Spotify use data structures and practice creating a music playlist manager using Pandas for basic data manipulation and Seaborn for simple visualizations.

Week 2 Class 2 - Data Comparison and Visualization
You’ll analyze a music trends dataset, create interactive visualizations, and use AI to explain visualization techniques. Practice using advanced list and dictionary operations by comparing and analyzing data. Then, continue creating Seaborn visualizations such as graphs from datasets.

Week 3 Class 1 - Working with Files and Data
A big part of data science involves handling CSV files and loading external datasets! Learn how this works while creating reusable code blocks with functions and parameters.
You’ll also get to select your own dataset to explore for the rest of the class! Options include: climate patterns, sports statistics, music/movie trends, or choose your own dataset from the web.

Week 3 Class 2 - Data Story Development
Continue your project development and prepare an initial data narrative. You’ll learn about advanced data extraction techniques and start creating a story or narrative from the data while receiving individual coaching.

Week 4 Class 1 - Python Ecosystem and APIs
In this class, you’ll get the chance to enhance your project with additional packages and by exploring free API (Application Programming Interface) integrations available on the web. Think of packages like toolboxes for programmers! You’ll be able to explain what packages are and how they extend Python's capabilities, install and use third-party packages, and use API data in your personal project.

Week 4 Class 2 - GitHub Portfolio and Project Presentations
Show off your findings to the class (and future employers) by pushing your code to GitHub - a widely used and popular developer tool for storing code online to share and collaborate! You’ll set up an account and learn the basic commands in class. You will review others’ code, present, and reflect on what you’ve learned. You’ll walk away with an online portfolio and invaluable tech skills.
